Cortado and I outside of the Amsoil Arena

Cortado came with me today to watch the Superior Man Triathlonheld in Duluth. Riding in the Jeep was his first obstacle, but he seemed to handle it pretty well. We parked at work in Canal Park and walked over to Amsoil Arena where the tri was being held. Along the way we ran into some new friends, walked through a tunnel, and through the Amsoil Arena. First Sprint Sled Dog in that place? Maybe!

We watched for a long time and then he got pooped out and had to take a nap. Even the Arial Lift Bridge horn didn’t wake him up! Lots of people down here in Canal park on a Sunday, made good for socializing. Then I took him in the big lake for a little swim, to no surprise he’s a great swimmer too!

Everyone was thinking he was a beagle, lol! I don’t know how many times I heard, “what kind of dog is that?”. “A sled dog,” I would reply. Then they would just give me a funny look like, that’s not a Siberian! And of course you get the typical, “Do you do the Beargrease?”

I’m sure he can’t wait to get home and tell his litter mates about his big adventure! Boats, horns, people, kids, bikes, runners, swimming, seagulls, lots of cars and loud noises!

Cortado passed out!
